Renault Duster

Renault has made an impressive entry into the Indian passenger car market with the Fluence and recently with the Koleos premium SUV. However, as expected, pretty soon the company will be launching the Duster in India. The SUV is a tough and reliable off-roader and is also one of the cheapest full grown SUVs to be sold in the world. India will get the latest and the updated version that is sold under the Dacia brand name in key international markets.

As seen from these pictures, the Renault Duster is quite a smart and robust looking SUV. The front end has a slight aggresion to it with a smartly designed bumper that also part houses the under engine bash plate. You also notice the muscular and flared wheel arches and the running black matt panels across the length, broken by the smart looking step guard. The rear again, for this price, is impressive with cute tail lamps and a silver finish rear bash plate integrated into the rear bumper. The Indian Duster will also get running roof rails.

The cabin of the Renault Duster immediately makes you remember the Mahindra Verito (earler the Renault Logan). Lot of parts seem to have been picked up from the Verito like the air-con vents and power window switches. Like the Verito / Logan, even the Duster has centrally placed power window switches. The Duster will strictly be a comfortable 5-seater with loads of boot space on avail. Interiors will get ABS, air-bags, driver info display etc. Also expect generous space and high quality plastics. On the engine front, the Renault Duster will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine variants are called RxE and RxL and it will be a 1.6-litre unit generating 102PS of power. However, as is the case with the Indian market, the diesel is the one that will be the better seller of the two and there are two choices- a 1.5 litre 85BPS and 110PS engine. The diesels will come in RxE, RxL and RxZ variants. As far as gearbox is concerned, the 85PS Duster will have a five speed gearbox and the 110PS one will have a six speed gearbox, the petrol will have the five-speed gearbox only.

Here is a summary of all the features of the Duster!

         Stylish Chrome grille
Twin barrel headlamps
16'' Alloy Wheels, Front Fog Lamps
Keyless entry
ABS with Brake Assist & EBD
Dual front Airbags
Plush Leather Upholstery
4 Speaker Music System with USB, AUX-IN & Bluetooth Connectivity
Satellite Audio & phone control
Rear Defogger, rear wiper & washer
Electrically adjustable ORVMs
Rear parking sensors
A Boot capacity of 475 litres.
The Renault Duster will come with both 4x2 and 4x4 models. The mileage figures are excellent also- 20 kmpl and 19 kmpl for the diesels and 13 kmpl for the petrol. Prices will start at around Rs 7.2 lakh for the 1.6 petrol (base) going all the way upto Rs 12 lakh for the top-end diesel - a direct hit at the Mahindra Scorpio and the Tata Safari!

Best Google Adsense Alternatives 2012 [CPC+CPM]

Best Google Adsense Alternative 1 - Adbrite:
Adbrite is easily the next best PPC+CPM ad network that can give decent results for a blogger.I can assure that it is a legit network and I have been paid out and still get payouts, although the CPC for Adbrite is not especially high, it has a good range of CPM ads, I regularly receive around 1.5 -2.0 $ for every 1000 impressions on my other blogs.Hence I would recommend you to use this Google Adsense Alternative if you are unable to use adsense on your site.

Best Google Adsense Alternative 2 - Chitika:
Chitika is also a really good adsense alternative but only if you are a publisher who gets a lot of traffic from USA and Canada.Although Chitika has introduced ads even for Asian and European countries, they pay out very less CPM and even lesser CPC.If you have a majority of traffic from USA and Canada, then I would recommend this over Adbrite.

The Chitika ads do not look very professional and sometimes is plagued by "Answered-Questions" ads which do not result in any revenue for you. This may be the only disadvantage of Chitika.

Best Google Adsense Alternative 3 - Yahoo! Publisher Network:
The Yahoo Publisher Network is also available only for USA publishers and is not available at all for others, this is one of the most professional adsense alternative that can compare (up-to some level) with Adsense. The payout is good and the company is trust-able as it is from Yahoo!

Best Google Adsense Alternative 4 - Infolinks:
Infolinks is the best In-Text advertising network and is the highest paying one too. They have several different ads that look like text or convert a text into an ad, which results in very high CTR of around 5-6%, but the CPC is miserably low, sometimes needing a few clicks to reach 5 cents.

The good thing is they are trust-able and payout out through PayPal when you reach 50$, they are looking for ways to increase CPC, but there is no scope for this as in-text ads can lead to inadvertent clicks and hence publishers wont want to pay much per click.

Best Google Adsense Alternative 5 - Kontera:
The second best Adsense alternative in terms of In-Text Ads, they offer a similar range of options like Infolinks and the CPC is equally low, a close second best to Infolinks.Works in a similar way to Infolinks.

Best Google Adsense Alternative 6 - Bidvertiser:
Bidvertiser is another CPC Adsense Alternative network that has a very limited number of publishers so you wont get many different ads like Adsense, they have limited customization options too.But their CPC is slightly better than that of the In-Text Ads and a lot lesser than Adbrite and Chitika.

Logitech outs C920 HD webcam, lets you Skype with your mates in 1080p

If you were impressed by Logitech's C910 back in June, you may want to take a gander at the newly unveiled HD Pro 920. While it's the first webcam to offer 1080p video chatting with the latest version of Skype, the C920 can also capture 1080p video while offering 720p for Windows Live Messenger. You'll be able to upload your full-HD clips and 15MP shots at warp speed at the hands of H.264 advanced compression technology -- making those YouTube uploads that much faster. Internally, the C920 implements Logitech's Fluid Crystal Technology, Carl Zeiss optics and a 20-step autofocus. For audio capture, two mics are position on either side of the shooter for stereo recording. If you're looking to snag one, it'll set you back $100 starting this month. But for now, peep the gallery below and all the details in the PR after the break.

SBI Instapay for Instant online payments

SBI has a service Instapay, other banks also offer similar service, the one I know is HDFC bank. SBI Instapay can be used to pay utility bills as telephone, mobile, electricity and gas, recharge, insurance premium etc.

Here is the link for SBI_Instapay.

If you have an SBI debit card or net banking account, you can use Instapay service. There are very easy steps. And it is very useful if you do not want to open an account to pay your bills. Suppose you want to recharge your prepaid mobile card, you will have to open an account in one of the recharging service but with Instapay you do not need to open and account or login to service providers to recharge. Netbanking account is very useful for Instapay. If you have a debit card, you will have to follow some extra steps.

Microsoft is one such company which needs no introduction for whatsoever the reason it is.

Making the lives of thousands as easy as it can get is what Redmond giant has been doing since it started of in the year 1974.
Started by one of the world’s greatest programmer and entrepreneur Bill Gates, Microsoft has come of ages.

Its latest and much-anticipated Windows version Windows 8 is hitting the markets soon.
Microsoft has signaled the Windows 8 final release by the releasing the final test version of Windows 8 called  Windows 8 Release Preview or Windows 8 Release Candidate.

I strongly feel that Windows 8 is the re-invention of Windows. It radically changes the Windows experience from what you have experienced all these years.

Windows 8
Windows 8 is considered to be the biggest change in decades to Microsoft’s extensively used operating system.
It now comes with a highly visual interface called Metro.
Metro consists of mosaic of tiles and has been designed so it can run on desktop, laptop and tablet computers.

If such huge change in the user interface sounds scary to you, change to the familiar desktop version in a click.

The latest test version of Windows 8 is available in 14 languages which includes several improvements and awesome features.
The upgrades include more ways to connect to other Microsoft services, more security controls and more touch-screen features.

Infact, the Windows 8 Release Preview comes packed with Windows 8 OS, IE 10, all new Windows 8 apps for connecting to Hotmail, SkyDrive, Messenger  and many other awesome services.

Other new apps in this release include a Bing Travel app, as well as Gaming and Music Xbox apps that integrate with Microsoft’s Zune music service.
What more, you can get hundreds of new and updated apps in the Windows Store.

The release of Windows 8 RC comes in the wake of a situation when the PC sales have slowed down due to consumers buying smartphones and tablets over PC.

But, the versatility of Windows 8 is expected to spawn a new generation of computers that are part laptop and part tablet.

Downloads
Windows 8 Release Preview has been throughly tested by millions of users worldwide and is stable.
But I still urge you to take backup of critical data to external storage device in case something goes wrong.

(ISO images or .iso files)

If you are wondering on how to use a .iso file. Then let me tell you – an ISO image must be converted into installation media stored on a DVD or a USB flash drive.

On Windows 7, the easiest way to convert this file is to use Windows Disc Image Burner.
On Windows XP and Windows Vista, a third-party software like Nero is required to convert an .iso file into installable media.

Additional requirements to use certain features:

New Features You Will Like
 1>> Start Here
The new Start menu serves as both a launchpad and a dashboard. It helps you to see various activities at a glance on different kinds of data via Live Tiles. It is also the way to quickly access common apps.

2>> Windows 8′s Charms
The “charms” menu is revealed when you hover to the right side of the screen. This is the Metro version of a context menu, with the options listed behaving a little differently depending on what Metro app is in the foreground.

3>> Find Apps
If you need a full list of programs similar to the one in the Windows 7 Start menu, Windows 8 does have one, with links to both classic-desktop and Metro apps.

4>> Instant Search
Start typing in the Start menu and you’ll be taken instantly to a search page.

5>> Shop For Apps
Microsoft’s Store for Metro apps is gradually being populated with both new and Metro-specific apps.

6>> App Details
Apps in the Store come with age ratings, descriptions of their behavioral permissions, and other details.

7>> Search Options
Metro apps can also extend the functionality of the system in different ways. The Wikipedia app, for instance, extends Windows 8′s native search function to allow search queries to be run through Wikipedia. Clicking one of the icons beneath the search box lets you choose the context for the search.

8>> Share Information
Hovering at the right of the screen and selecting “Share” in a Metro app lets the currently displayed information be shared via a variety of methods. Mail and the People app are two of the most basic choices.

9>> Still A Classic
If you long for the classic desktop, it’s still here, and your conventional Windows apps will run just as they always have in it. But remember that the original Start menu has been completely removed.

10>> Integrated Flash
The Metro-interface edition of Internet Explorer 10 now runs Flash as a natively installed version. The new Do Not Track policy, by the way, is also enabled by default in IE 10.

11>> Browse The SkyDrive
The Metro SkyDrive app lets you browse documents and photo galleries with a swipe of the finger.

12>> IE Options
Internet Explorer 10 also exists in a conventional desktop edition. If you open a page in the Metro version of IE 10, a menu option exists there to open it on the desktop.
